Summary:

The MSO Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and supporting the operations of the MSO team to ensure efficient and effective service delivery. This role involves managing relationships with healthcare providers, ensuring compliance in Medicare and HMO guidelines, and facilitating communication between various stakeholders.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

1) Provider Relations

  • Maintain and update provider information in the system
  • Assist in resolving provider issues and concerns promptly

2) Compliance and Regulatory:

  • Ensure compliance with Medicare and HMO guidelines and regulations
  • Prepare and submit required reports.
  • Assist in audits and implement corrective actions as needed

3) Coordination and Communication:

  • Facilitate communication between providers, MSO staff, and health plan representatives

4) Data Management and Reporting:

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of provider contracts, agreements, and credentialing documents.
  • Generate and analyze reports related to provider performance, utilization, and compliance.

5) Operational Support:

  • Assist in the development and implementation of operational policies and procedures.
  • Support the MSO management team with administrative tasks and project coordination.

6) Customer Service:

  • Provide high-quality customer service to internal and external stakeholders
  • Address and resolve inquiries from members, providers, and staff in a timely manner.
  • Educate providers and members about MSO services and benefits.

7) Regular and consistent attendance

8) Other duties as assigned.


EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

  • Associate's degree or equivalent degree in healthcare administration, business administration, or related field required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in healthcare administration, preferably with an MSO or HMO.
  • Strong understanding of Medicare and HMO regulations and guidelines
  • Working knowledge of healthcare standard code sets, benefits, DOFR, RBRVS, and fee schedules
  • Must have strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and SQL Server Reporting Services
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
