Staff AccountantThe Staff Accountant position is a full-time, salaried position. This role will prepare and maintain financial records to track the organization's assets, liabilities, profits and losses, and other related financial activities. This position reports to the Accounting Manager.Responsibilities:Routine Activities:General Ledger:Provides monthly General Ledger & analysis data to departmental leads on a timely basisPrepare Journal Entries as neededAssists with invoice coding and cash application questionsResolve account discrepanciesMonth end close reviews with the Accounting Manager to ensure financial accuracyAccounts Receivable:Process customer invoices and credit memosReview daily sales reports for potential errorsProcess royalties and rebatesReach out to customers regarding past due accountsProcess weekly aging report and send to managementFollow up with bulk vendor regarding deliveriesEnsure daily deposits are recorded timely and accuratelyAccounts Payable:Process vendor invoices and credit memosProcess weekly AP payments and send remits to vendorsReach out to vendor or department heads regarding any discrepanciesInventory:Build, Transfer and Receive Inventory into the Accounting systemCertify:Import expense report data via JE upload into the accounting system. Resolve any coding and/or other items in question.Miscellaneous:Monitor Accounting emailCheck post office boxAssist with ad-hoc projects on requestCompliance:NON-SMOKER, NON-VAPEREducation and Experience:Bachelor's degree (preferably in Accounting or Finance).5+ years of receivables, payables, inventory, and general ledger experience.Skill Requirements:Excellent attention to detail.Excellent organizational skills.Excellent data entry skills.General math skills.Good communication skills (both written and verbal).Good at analyzing information.Comfortable & proficient in using a PC; good typing skills.Comfortable & proficient using the following computer software:Sage 50 Accounting for Manufacturing, NetSuite or similar accounting softwareMicrosoft Office (Word, Excel)Fluency in spoken & written English.Physical Requirements:Sitting for extended periods of timeAbility to lift 25 pounds unassistedCompensation:Salary dependent on the candidate's specific qualifications.Computer and other required office equipment provided.
