As aiEDU's inaugural Director of Marketing and Communications, you will be instrumental in leading the development and execution of the organization’s communications strategy, media relations, and storytelling efforts. Your responsibilities will encompass: Creating and implementing a comprehensive communications strategy. Crafting engaging press releases, managing partner announcements, and developing newsletters and audience-specific materials. Overseeing content development initiatives, including videos and blog posts. Advising on communications related to our strategic partnerships and collaborating with our funders on integrated media strategies. This role also includes organization-wide communications, from drafting clear and compelling talking points for various platforms to supporting teams with effective communications best practices. You will prepare essential communication materials and collateral for the entire organization. Additionally, you will assess the effectiveness of our communications and marketing strategies through detailed media activity reports to ensure optimal performance across various channels. We are looking for a strategic and innovative communicator ready to amplify aiEDU's mission and impact. Position Details: Location: This full-time, exempt position offers a flexible remote schedule and can be done from anywhere in the U.S. Candidates should have access to high-speed internet and be comfortable working in a remote environment. Compensation: The baseline compensation for this role ranges from $150,000 to $165,000, depending on experience. Benefits: We provide a comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, and vision for you and your dependents, life insurance, short-term and long-term disability insurance, flexible work hours, paid time off, paid parental leave, an annual stipend for home office expenses and professional growth, and a 401k match of 4% vested immediately. Start Date: We hope to have the right candidate start as soon as possible after an offer, with some flexibility available. Your Responsibilities: Communications & Media Relations (45%): Develop and manage aiEDU's core messaging, overseeing brand identity and creating compelling narratives across materials. Lead media relations strategy. Marketing & Content Strategy (35%): Drive multimedia content creation and execute strategies to engage educator, district, and partner audiences. Strategic & Thought Leadership Communications (20%): Support leadership with messaging for public engagements and position aiEDU for visibility in education and tech spaces. Your Impact: Within the first Month: Gain a comprehensive understanding of aiEDU's mission and target audiences. Evaluate ongoing communications and marketing activities for quick improvements. Within 3 Months: Initiate measurable media engagements and marketing initiatives for educators. Enhance structures for collaboration on communications efforts. Support executive communications for key events. Create a clear content development strategy. Within 6 Months: Establish systems for tracking media and marketing performance. Show measurable growth in audience engagement and visibility. Within 12 Months: Launch a comprehensive communications and marketing plan that enhances aiEDU's brand recognition and media presence. Support improvements on platforms such as the aiEDU website and social media channels. Create innovative storytelling opportunities across various media.
