Senior Phlebotomist

Job Description: The Phlebotomist II represents the face of the organization to patients visiting for routine health needs or important diagnostic testing. This role is responsible for drawing high-quality blood samples and preparing specimens for lab testing while following established procedures. The Phlebotomist II builds trust with patients by providing clear communication, professional conduct, and safe, accurate blood collection. Assignments may include doctor's offices, patient service centers, or other locations based on business needs. Perform daily activities accurately and on time under the direction of the area supervisor. Maintain a safe and professional environment. Perform both forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing duties according to established practices. Verify patient demographic information and ensure all tubes are properly labeled in the patient's presence. Maintain required documentation and records. Promote a positive image to patients, clients, employees, and the public. Requirement/Must Have: bility to provide accurate, error-free work in a fast-paced environment. bility to work independently with minimal supervision. Excellent phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric. Flexible and available for weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime as needed. Commitment to company policies, safety standards, and professional guidelines. bility to make sound decisions based on established procedures. Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license if required. bility to work at multiple locations with minimal notice. bility to manage multiple priorities in a high-volume setting. Strong customer focus, communication, and adaptability. Experience: 1-3 years of phlebotomy experience required, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections. 2 years of experience in a patient service center environment preferred. Customer service experience in a retail or service environment strongly preferred. Keyboard and data entry experience. Responsibilities: Perform accurate blood collection and specimen processing. Verify patient identity and ensure correct labeling. Maintain records and documentation. Support safe and professional daily operations. Deliver excellent customer service to patients and internal teams. Skills: Strong phlebotomy skills. bility to handle multiple priorities. Strong interpersonal and communication abilities. ttention to detail and strong work ethic. Qualification And Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Medical assistant or paramedic training preferred. Phlebotomy certification preferred (mandatory in specific states).
