Sales Engineer

In this role, you'll play a crucial part in accelerating ECM Group equipment sales by addressing specific customer needs. You'll provide comprehensive technical sales support throughout the entire process, including generating leads, engaging with existing customers, conducting technical analyses, and reviewing contracts. Success in this position hinges on having a strong sales personality and the drive to seek out and capitalize on new business opportunities.

 

JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manages sales pipeline including developing new Customers while maintaining existing sales within assigned customers.
  • Develops and executes strategic plans to achieve or exceed sales targets and expand our Customer base.
  • Provides competitive information such as bid situations, pricing data or bundling arrangements in order to establish negotiated pricing contracts for assigned products.
  • Forecasts project timelines, budgets, risks, and competition within a rapidly changing market, including date of delivery to Customers based on knowledge of manufacturing department’s production and delivery schedules.
  • Review the best monitoring sales report with management monthly to determine if goals and objectives are being met.

  • Develop a daily/weekly call list and maintain information accuracy by following-up monthly.

  • Deliver engaging sales presentations; effective communication skills including excellent active-listening abilities.
  • Participates in ongoing training and research to improve product knowledge and sales techniques.


REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • Successful track record in Sales, with a preferred background in Industrial Heat Treating Equipment or similar.
  • Strong software and PC skills, notably: Microsoft Office Suite and CRM Software.
  • High degree of technical aptitude; ability to read and understand schematics.
  • English fluent; Spanish and/or French speaking would be considered an advantage.


TRAVEL & WORK CONDITIONS

This position will be based out of our ECM USA, Inc. office in Pleasant Prairie, WI. Frequent travel (40%-60%) is required including to ECM Technologies (France) and other subsidiaries, sales meetings, exhibitions, technical sessions, and customer sites. A valid Passport, Driver’s License and good driving record are required.
