Job Description About Us: AirPay is a fast-growing software company revolutionizing the healthcare industry by making pricing transparent for providers and patients. Backed by IA Ventures, we work with thousands of practices across the country, enabling them to make informed decisions through comprehensive data and payment solutions. As our platform rapidly scales, we're seeking a Head of Data to help expand payer connectivity, improve data quality and utility, and drive increased customer adoption. This role is based in NYC (hybrid) Role Overview: As the Head of Data at AirPay, you will build and lead a team that is responsible for using AI+ML to enhance the data that is so critical to the success of our products. This includes driving the expansion of our payer data connections, improving the depth and utility of data, and ensuring that our customers can maximize its value for their practices. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, customer success, and operations, to lead data-driven initiatives and scale our platform. Your strategic and technical expertise will help us automate processes and measure key performance metrics to drive continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities: Payer Data Expansion: Identify top payers to prioritize based on market impact and customer demand. Engage with payers that may not have standard API integrations and find alternative methods to access data. Assess and improve the quality and comprehensiveness of data from these payers. Improving Data Depth: Evaluate the completeness, accuracy, and utility of payer data to meet AirPay's and customer needs. Develop strategies to ensure data is comprehensive and can be leveraged for practice insights. Customer Data Utilization Growth: Drive customer adoption of AirPay's data through product enhancements, education, and engagement. Design and execute data-driven initiatives or features that increase usage, such as real-time insights, predictive analytics, or benchmarking tools. Scaling and Automation: Create scalable and automated processes for integrating and maintaining payer data at scale. Ensure systems are designed to minimize manual intervention while maximizing accuracy and reliability. Metrics for Success: Track key metrics such as payer connection growth, data comprehensiveness, and customer adoption rates. Regularly assess and improve metrics by implementing feedback loops, optimizations, and innovation. Collaborating with Engineering: Partner with engineering teams to design and maintain robust integrations with payer systems. Ensure smooth execution of data initiatives through collaborative, cross-functional planning and execution. Requirements 5+ years of product management experience, preferably in healthcare or data-driven industries. Proven track record of expanding data integrations or working with API-based systems. Experience leading cross-functional teams, including engineering and customer success. Ability to think strategically and execute tactically, with a strong focus on scalability.
