The firm also provides consultation on the complex standards, regulations, policies, and interpretations under the federal and state OSHA Act. The role offers flexibility for some remote work.
Role Description
This is a full-time hybrid role for a Litigation Medical Paralegal at Kienle Law. The Litigation Paralegal will be responsible for managing, controlling and implementing the firm's medical and billing records secured by subpoena. The position involves daily interaction with subpoena vendors, reviewing and summarizing critical information from records in spreadsheets and medical chronologies. The position also involves legal document preparation, document review, legal research, drafting pleadings, and motions. The role is primarily located in San Juan Capistrano, CA, with flexibility for some remote work.
Qualifications
- Legal Document Preparation, Document Review, and Legal Research skills
- Experience in medical and other subpoena management, medical and billing record management and summarizing same for medical chronologies
- Experience with civil discovery procedures for depositions, expert discovery and trial
- Experience preparing attorneys for trial both in adhering to trial related deadlines, preparing trial binders and understanding defense related trial and jury instructions
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment
- Proficiency in legal technology and software
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Associate's degree or certification in Paralegal Studies
- Experience in personal injury or OSHA defense is a plus
