We are seeking a Sales Operations Manager for our customer, County Materials in Roberts, WI.

Job Duties:

  • The Sales Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing, developing, and most importantly providing leadership to a team of project managers, project coordinators, and estimators.
  • The SOM is responsible for developing and overseeing a smooth, effective commercial process of the warehouses they support and adding a new level of visibility to increase warehouse efficiency.
  • The position will work very closely with Sales Representatives, Dispatch personnel and Operations Management.
  • This position focuses on managing the day-to-day efficiencies of the project lead teams that identify, qualify, and build proposals for County Materials Pipe and Precast products.
  • The scope of responsibilities of this position may include, but not limited to, maintaining safety standards, input on production planning/scheduling, completing take-offs/quotes, performance tracking, process reliability, housekeeping, resource scheduling, customer service, and driving a proactive culture of continuous improvement across our business.
  • Works with site leadership to drive customer satisfaction and uniform region procedures.
  • Drive continuous improvement in quality, productivity, customer satisfaction and process efficiency.
  • Motivate employees by goal setting, feedback, and performance evaluation.
  • Resolve personnel problems and assure open communication among all employees.
  • Enhance, create, and/or adopt standard operating procedures and monitors for compliance.
  • This position will assist in maintaining PJM (project management software) in a way that provides valuable information regarding market conditions and histories.
  • Provide information/reports to Region & Sales Manager regarding market and customer trends.

  • Sitting frequently.
  • Carrying/Lifting 10 - 40 Pounds rarely.

Experience & Qualifications:

  • Commitment to building a customer experience culture through processes and practices that serves the customer and increases profitability.
  • Strong participative leadership skills
  • Must have effective verbal and written communication skills while being self-motivated, dependable, organized, detail-oriented, able to remain flexible with a strong sense of urgency, work without direct supervision in a team environment.
  • Strong visual aptitude, planning, and organizational skills
  • Ability to work with employees at all levels of the organization including hourly full-time employees as well as temporary associates.
  • Must be available for alternative work hours during the week and on weekends as customer requirements and business conditions dictate.
  • Ability to work within timelines and in pressure situations.
  • Strong understanding of underground specifications in relation to concrete pipe and precast items.
  • Strong problem solving, negotiating, and decision-making skills; ability to handle multiple tasks and sometimes conflicting priorities; demonstrated ability to plan, organize, and train others.
  • Team player who can build partnerships while leading cross-functional teams.
  • Strong leadership skills that are engaging and supportive of a highly effective workforce.
  • Bachelor‘s degree is strongly preferred.
  • Three to five years‘ experience managing projects and supervising, motivating, coaching, and holding people accountable in a production/manufacturing/fulfillment/dispatch environment.
  • Ability to maintain a satisfactory driving record.
  • In regions with multiple operations sites, travel will be 5%-15% of the time.
