Engineering Test Technician - Onsite in Sarasota Overview: Under supervision, you will provide test lab technician services in a safe, organized, and timely manner. Responsibilities include setting up and conducting tests, modifying lab test stands, implementing design changes, and troubleshooting test setups, products, and systems. Strong communication skills are essential for coordinating with multiple teams and scheduling lab equipment efficiently. This role involves working with high-voltage and high-current equipment safely. Key Responsibilities: Safely set up and conduct tests according to customer requirements. Modify test stands and implement design changes as needed. Collect and document test data, prepare reports, and summarize results. Troubleshoot test setups and assist with product/system issues. Use Microsoft Office and other tools for documentation and reporting. Qualifications: Education: HS diploma/GED + 2 years electrical maintenance experience OR Associate's degree in Engineering Technology (or related field). Ability to use electrical and measurement devices (DMM, power supplies, Hi-Pot tester, oscilloscope). Basic knowledge of electricity (AC/DC, resistance, inductance). Ability to read and understand technical standards (MIL Specs, AS, DO-160). Preferred Skills: Electrical drawing experience (AutoCAD Electrical, SolidWorks Electrical). Soldering skills (IPC certification). Mechanical aptitude and machine shop skills. Physical Requirements: Sitting 40%, standing 40%, walking/lifting 20% (up to 25 lbs; heavier with assistance).
