Key Responsibilities of the Controller position:
  • Month-End Close: Perform and oversee the month-end close process, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
  • Financial Consolidation: Consolidate financial statements for three companies, providing clear and accurate financial reports.
  • AP/AR Management: Oversee and manage Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
  • Team Management: Lead, mentor, and develop a team of staff accountants, promoting a collaborative and efficient work environment.
  • Process Documentation: Take detailed notes and document financial processes to ensure consistency, transparency, and compliance.
  • Reporting: Prepare and present financial reports to senior management, providing insights and recommendations for financial performance improvement.
Preferred Experience for the Controller position:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA or CMA certification preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in accounting or finance, with a focus on month-end close, financial consolidation, and AP/AR management.
  • Leadership, attention to detail, strong analytical skills and problem solving skills
  • Advanced Excel including pivot tables and vlookps
