Job Description:


We are seeking an experienced and innovative Azure Machine Learning Lead and Architect to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will lead the design, development, and implementation of advanced machine learning models and solutions using the Azure platform. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into scalable and efficient ML solutions. The ideal candidate has a strong background in machine learning, data science, and cloud architecture, with a proven track record of leading ML projects from conception to deployment. Experience in the marketing domain is a significant advantage.


Key Responsibilities

Leadership and Strategy

- Lead the end-to-end development and deployment of machine learning models and solutions on Azure.

- Develop and implement the strategic vision for machine learning initiatives in alignment with business goals.

- Mentor and guide a team of data scientists, ML engineers, and data engineers.

- Stay updated with the latest advancements in machine learning, AI, and cloud technologies, and apply them to improve solutions.


Architectural Design and Development

- Design scalable, robust, and cost-effective ML architectures on the Azure platform.

- Work closely with stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements, and translate them into technical solutions.

- Implement best practices for ML model development, deployment, and monitoring.

- Ensure the security and compliance of ML solutions with industry standards and regulations.

Collaboration and Communication

- Collaborate with data engineers, software developers, and other IT professionals to integrate ML solutions with existing systems.

- Communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.

- Foster a culture of innovation, continuous learning, and collaboration within the team.


Operational Excellence

- Optimize ML models for performance, scalability, and cost-efficiency.

- Monitor and maintain ML solutions to ensure they meet performance and reliability standards.

- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to ML models and Azure infrastructure.


Customer Engagement and Demonstrations

- Demonstrate and oversee demonstrations (e.g., architectural design sessions, and proof of concept [POC] sessions) of products, services, and integration through initial engagements.

- Leverage partner/customer teams as needed to prove capabilities and integration into the customer environment.

- Present and apply architecture patterns to partners or customers and drive cross-workload support for Microsoft Solutions.

- Apply sales methodologies (e.g., challenger sales) and coach the team in addressing customer digital transformation and leveraging insights to align new or changing technology to customer business needs.


Qualifications


Experience

- 8+ years of experience in machine learning, data science, or a related field.

- 5+ years of hands-on experience with Azure Machine Learning and other Azure services.

- Proven experience in leading and managing ML projects and teams.

- Strong background in statistical analysis, machine learning algorithms, and data processing techniques.

- Experience in the marketing domain is a significant advantage.


Technical Skills

- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C# and SQL.

- Experience with ML frameworks and libraries such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, and Scikit-learn.

- In-depth knowledge of Azure services including Azure ML, Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, Azure Synapse, Azure Functions, and Azure Cosmos DB.

- Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools for ML (MLOps), including CI/CD pipelines.

- Experience with Microsoft Azure OpenAI, SQL, other database platforms, and Microsoft Fabric.


Soft Skills

- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

- Proven ability to lead, inspire, and motivate teams.


Preferred Qualifications

- Certification in Azure Solutions Architect or Azure AI Engineer.

- Experience with big data technologies like Hadoop and Spark.

- Knowledge of deep learning and natural language processing (NLP).

- Experience with Agile methodologies and project management tools.
