- Master’s Degree in counseling, social work, or marriage and family therapy
- Licensed Therapist (LCPC, LCSW, LMFT, or equivalent) in IL.
- Committed to anti-racist work, anti oppression work and are social justice-oriented
- Understanding of basic therapeutic framework and foundation for treating mental health disorders
- Specialized clinical knowledge and advanced clinical skill in the areas of assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of mental, emotional, and behavioral disorders.
- Ability to interact effectively, sensitively, and professionally with clients in a timely manner
- Someone who is self-reflective and highly motivated to learn and to take initiative in investing in their own growth.
- Professional written and verbal skills. Must complete and manage electronic notes and scheduling in a timely manner.
- Strong commitment to a no-nonsense, results-oriented approach to therapy.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Must have professional liability insurance.
- Provide individual, couples, and/or family therapy sessions.
- Utilize evidence-based practices to deliver effective mental health treatment.
- Maintain clear, concise, and accurate client records.
- Foster a safe and supportive environment for clients to explore their issues.
- Provide crisis intervention services.
- Conduct necessary psychosocial and/or trauma-specific assessments
- Assess client functioning and develop individualized treatment plan within 30 days that is periodically re-assessed.
- Maintain case files including session case notes, treatment plans, monthly progress reports, telephone consultations, and termination summaries.
- Maintain good standing with the appropriate State licensing board and group membership affiliations.
- Participate in applicable, appropriate, related professional development opportunities.
- Adhere to confidentiality policy.
- Maintain cross-cultural awareness in the performance of all responsibilities.
