Come join usWe are seeking compassionate and dedicated Resident Service Assistants/Home Health Aides with a skillset and a heart for helping residents make the most of each day. In this position, you'll be a friendly and familiar face to our residents, providing hands-on care in a respectful and dignified manner. Your role is essential to the care and safety of residents who choose to call The Bristal home. The loving care you bring to the services you provide is fundamental to the quality of life and the general wellbeing of our residents every day.Additional responsibilities include:Assisting residents manage Activities of Daily Living (ADLs)Escorting residents to meals and recreational activitiesSupporting residents in achieving their highest level of physical, emotional and psycho-social well-beingHelping out as needed in the Wellness area to ensure the safety, comfort and wellbeing of our residentsFollowing all policies and procedures, and adhering to the instructions of the Nurse Shift Supervisor and the Director of WellnessFull-time schedule includes one weekend shift per week (TuesSat or SunThurs).Qualifications:Certified Nursing Assistant, Personal Care Attendant or Home Health AideExperience assisting those with Alzheimer's disease and dementia is a plusMust be able to speak and read in EnglishPrevious experience with geriatric population preferred, providing assistance with ADLsAbility to follow instructions and establish personal care routinesBasic understanding of dementia; patience and professionalism in redirecting residentsAbility to adjust to different personality types and situations in positive waysMust always be reliable, caring and gentle in touch and demeanorMaintain an abiding respect for the elderly and remain calm at all timesBehaviors:Loyal: Shows firm and constant support to a causeDedicated: Devoted to a task or purpose with loyalty or integrityEnthusiastic: Shows intense and eager enjoyment and interestTeam Player: Works well as a member of a groupEducation:High School or betterTechnical/other training or betterLicenses & Certifications:Required: Home Health AidePreferred: Certified Nursing Assist, Personal Care AideEqual Opportunity Employer This employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
