Job Title: Care Provider/ In-Home Health Aide

Job Summary:
The In-Home Health Aide provides compassionate care and assistance to individuals who are elderly, disabled, or recovering from illness or surgery, ensuring that they can live comfortably and safely in their own homes. This role involves personal care services, companionship, and light housekeeping, tailored to meet the specific needs of each client.

Key Responsibilities:

Personal Care: Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and feeding.
Mobility Assistance: Help clients with mobility, including transferring from bed to wheelchair, walking assistance, and positioning in bed.
Companionship: Provide companionship and emotional support, offering conversation, engagement in activities, and light recreational assistance.
Medication Reminders: Ensure clients take prescribed medications at the appropriate times, according to care plans.
Light Housekeeping: Perform light housekeeping duties, including cleaning, meal preparation, laundry, and maintaining a safe and clean living environment.
Health Monitoring: Observe clients' physical and mental health, document changes in condition, and report concerns to supervisors or family members.
Transportation Assistance: Help clients with transportation to medical appointments or errands, either by accompanying them or providing assistance in getting to appointments.
Following Care Plans: Adhere to personalized care plans developed by healthcare professionals to ensure that the client's health and well-being are prioritized.
Communication: Maintain regular communication with family members and healthcare teams regarding the client's status, needs, and any changes in condition.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent (required).
Completion of an accredited home health aide or personal care aide training program (preferred).
Certification as a Home Health Aide (HHA) or Certified Nurse's Assistant (CNA) (preferred).
Previous experience in a caregiving role, especially in a home healthcare setting (preferred).
Basic understanding of medical terminology and caregiving principles.
Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
Compassionate, patient, and understanding demeanor, with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Reliable, responsible, and trustworthy, with attention to detail.
Ability to follow instructions and adapt to changing care needs.

Working Conditions:

Work will be performed in the client's home or residence.
May require weekend, evening, or overnight shifts, depending on the client’s needs.
PPE (personal protective equipment) may be required based on client health and safety guidelines.
Frequent travel may be necessary if working with multiple clients.
