Route DriverCheck out our NEW, higher starting pay -- Earn $29.03/hour to start And after just 90 days, you'll make $29.53/hour -- APPLY TODAYAs a Route Driver for Darling Ingredients, you are responsible for collecting and transporting raw materials from our customers that include small family farms, larger hog confinements, locker plants, and restaurants up to large-scale slaughterhouses and food processors bring the raw materials back to our facility in Blue Earth, MN.Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, some Saturday.Flexible Start Time: 5:00am - 7:00am.Work Hours Per Day: 10 - 11 hours.Essential Duties/ResponsibilitiesNothing in this job description restricts management's right to assign or reassign duties and responsibilities to this job at any time.Must be able to handle outside elements year roundCollects and inspects products at time of pick up for any foreign material at customer location.Required to maintain an Electronic DOT log.Responsible and operates vehicle in accordance with Company, federal, state and local regulations.Conducts pre and post trip vehicle inspections; observes company policy, procedures and safety rules.Maintains excellent customer relations by providing quality, professional service at all times.Responsible for completing all company required paperwork in accordance with company policies on a daily basis.Attendance at all safety meetings required; may be asked to serve on Safety Committee.All other duties as assigned by managementMinimum QualificationsMust be 21 years of age.Valid Class A or Class B driver's license.Must be registered on https://clearinghouse.fmcsa.dot.gov/Preferred QualificationsPrior route experience within a customer oriented environment.Ability to work well with internal staff and external customers.Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide whole numbers.Physical DemandsFrequently required to walk, stand, sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crawl, and crouch.Occasionally lifts up to 75 lbs.Occasionally required to load deadstock and/or bins with assistance from a wench on their vehicle.Regularly required reach with hands and arms.Work EnvironmentJob functions will be carried out in a commercial motor vehicle, customer locations, and plant environment.Darling Ingredients is an equal opportunity employer and gives consideration to qualified applicants without regard to race, color, creed, religion, age, pregnancy, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, genetic information, physical or mental disability, military service, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by applicable federal, state and local law.
