As a senior network solutions engineer, you will be responsible for leading and executing network projects for our clients. You will work closely with our sales and delivery teams to understand the client's requirements, propose the best solution, and perform and oversee the implementation and testing. You will also provide technical support and guidance to our customers and other members of the team.

Responsibilities

The position of Networking Senior Solutions Engineer serves as an integral piece of the sales cycle. Starting by building customer relationships through technical expertise and consulting. Our engineering SMEs own the entirety of the technical aspects of the sales cycle to achieve the technical “Win” for the customer. Often concluding with post-sales activities including the successful implementation of technology solutions and services.

 

  • Lead technical pre-sales activities, driving business opportunities from opportunity identification through booking. Work collaboratively in a dynamic team environment to achieve outcomes and revenue targets.
  • Lead technical post-sales activities, implementation of enterprise networking solutions and technologies. Performing professional service delivery to optimize solutions, improving the business operations and meeting customer outcomes.
  • Demonstrate excellent customer service skills, build credibility and rapport with client technical teams . Establish productive relationships with our clients, serving as a trusted advisor and consultant to optimize their network architecture.
  • Identify, qualify, and close new opportunities through the application of technical expertise, account management skills, sales ability, and exceptional client focus.
  • Discussing modern networking solution strategies with executive and/or deeply technical customer audiences while factoring in customer ecosystem and operating parameters
  • Performing technology demonstrations
  • Attaining and maintain applicable technical certifications
  • Mentoring Junior Engineers
  • This is a remote work position in that the work does not require you to come into the office.
  • Geography does play a role in candidate selection relative to potential travel to customer locations.
  • Ideal candidates are in Houston or DFW, Texas.
  • 20%-30% travel, up to 50%



Required Qualifications

  • Excellent Presentation and Written Communication Skills
  • Strong time management skills
  • Passion to hustle and have fun
  • Ability to articulate solution and advanced network concepts to a variety of technical/non-technical audiences
  • 10+ years combined experience in IT Operations, Networking teams or Sales Engineering
  • Flexible, dependable, self-starter with a desire for continuous learning.
  • Strong problem-solving skills; ability to listen to the client’s needs and recommend solutions.
  • Strong working knowledge of enterprise-wide networking solutions and how to successfully integrate them into our client’s environment to solve business challenges.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise networking; possess broad, general knowledge of network tools and technology domains.


Desired Qualifications

  • Broad knowledge of networking tools and technology areas to include network visibility, software defined networking, secure service edge, enterprise firewalls.
  • Any of the following technical certifications, CCNP Enterprise, CCNP Security, Azure Network Engineer Associate, PCNSA, PCNSE, FCP, FCSS, Aruba Certified Switching Aruba Certified Campus Access
  • Some Cybersecurity or System administration
