We are seeking a qualified and certified SMAW welder (stick welder). Ideal candidate will have experience in both welding and commercial glazing, but we are willing to train someone with the qualifications listed below.

A Day In the Life

· Weld steel glass railing, clips, on various construction sites- primarily 1/8 & 1/4" steel

· Installation of glazing curtain wall systems, storefront, door & hardware.

· Conduct work from heights and elevated platforms-this is an outdoor, field position

· Set up harness and fall-restraint equipment

· Use hand/power tools and job site equipment regularly

· Maintain a clean working area

· Follow all safety rules and procedures

· May be required to assist in other departments and tasks as needed


What We Are Seeking

· Must be experienced and proficient in shielded metal arc welding/SMAW

· Highly experienced in welding steel from various heights and angles

· Vertical, overheard, and horizontal welds

· Is certified for Shielded Metal Arc welding/ SMAW

· Willing to join apprenticeship and train as a glazing installer

· Very comfortable working from heights

· Abide by all safety standards

· Looking for applicants willing to travel to St. George, UT- additional compensation and mileage reimbursement is offered for work travel


Starting Pay

$24-$31+ per hour
