Lighthouse Lab Services has partnered with a top tier health system near Charleston, SC We are looking for a talented Pathologist Assistant, PA(ASCP) to help guide their team to the next level Under general supervision of a pathologist, the Pathologists' Assistant, independently examines, prepares, describes, and dissects various surgical specimens from the simple to the highly complex. The Pathologists' Assistant aids in the supervision and training of grossing technicians, resident physicians, and pathology fellows in dissection procedures and techniques. Responsibilities include prioritizing workflow, examination, and dissection of routine to highly complex neoplastic cases, submission of tissue for histological analysis, procurement of tissue for ancillary studies, summarizing and dictating medical histories and gross findings, assuring appropriate specimen accessioning, photographing specimens, and performing frozen sections for pathologists' interpretation.
