divh2Financial Analyst/h2pHII Mission Technologies is seeking a Financial Analyst to support our customer in Falls Church, VA. The ideal candidate will assist the team with monitoring and controlling costs and schedules, performing financial analyses and preparing financial reports. This position is contingent upon contract award./ppEssential Job Responsibilities/pulliConducts and documents financial analysis of areas as directed by management./liliAssists with financial functions, such as assessing, auditing, planning, budgeting, taxes, consolidation, cost control, documentation and project control./liliEvaluates and analyzes capital expenditures, depreciation, proposals, investment opportunities, rate of return, profit plans, operating records, financial statements, etc./liliAnalyzes records of present and past operations, trends and costs, estimated and realized revenues, administrative commitments, and obligations incurred to project future revenues and expenses./liliDocuments revenues and expenditures and submits results to management. Advises management on matters, such as effective use of resources and assumptions underlying budget forecasts./liliInterprets budgets to management./liliAct as consultant to management on financial policies, procedures, and applications./liliMay provide functional and technical direction to other staff members in areas of cost/finance./liliOriginate purchase requests for contract services as needed./liliTransfer/allocate funding as directed/needed./li/ulpMinimum Qualifications/pulli3 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 1 year relevant experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 7 years relevant experience./liliClient experience requirements: Between 0 to 6 years of relevant experience./liliClient education requirements: BA/BS degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or a relevant field. 4 years of additional equivalent experience can be substituted for a BA/BS degree./liliAbility to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance./liliExperience in earned value management (EVM) financial reporting is required./liliStrong analytical and problem-solving abilities./liliExcellent written and verbal communication skills./liliAbility to work effectively both independently and as part of a team./liliA proactive and eager-to-learn attitude./li/ulpPreferred Requirements/pulliAn active Secret Security Clearance./liliStrong understanding of cost accounting principles and financial forecasting./liliFinancial analysis experience in a government contracting or defense environment./liliProficiency in Excel and financial systems and tools such as Deltek Costpoint, SAP or similar systems./li/ul/div
