Part-Time: Up to 30 hours per week. Full-Time: Average 3640 hours per week.Typical Shifts:Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday: 7:00/7:30 AM 5:00 PMWednesday: 7:00/7:30 AM 6:00 PMNo weekend hoursKey Responsibilities:Assist veterinarians and vet techs during examinations, treatments, and surgeriesHandle and restrain animals safely and compassionatelyPrepare examination rooms and surgical areas by cleaning and sterilizing equipment and surfacesPerform basic laboratory tests, such as collecting blood, urine, and stool samplesAdminister medications and vaccinations under the supervision of a veterinarianFeed, bathe, and exercise animals as neededMaintain accurate medical recordsCommunicate with pet owners about their pets' care, treatment plans, and follow-up visitsClean and maintain the clinic, including stocking supplies and ensuring a safe and sanitary environmentQualifications:Must have veterinary assistant experience.Technical know-how in areas such as disinfection, administering medication, and using diagnostic equipment.Physical ability to handle animals safely and compassionately.About Pure Paws Veterinary Care Hudson SquarePure Paws Veterinary Care of Hudson Square is a full-service, modern animal hospital serving the vibrant SoHo, West Village, Tribeca, and NYU neighborhoods of New York City.
