WiReD Technology is seeking a motivated Network Support Administrator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in networking principles and possess hands-on experience with router and switch configuration, including knowledge of VLANs and VPNs. Candidate should also have a strong helpdesk background and familiarity with Office 365 administration.


Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the configuration and maintenance of our customers' firewalls, routers, and switches.
  • Troubleshoot network issues and provide timely resolutions.
  • Implement and manage VLANs and VPNs to segment and route network traffic effectively.
  • Collaborate with team members to design and implement network solutions based on client requirements.
  • Conduct network assessments and audits to identify vulnerabilities, recommend improvements, and ensure compliance with industry standards and security policies.
  • Document and diagram network configurations and changes accurately.
  • Augment our helpdesk, providing Tier 2+ support for customer email and related services and Tier 1 support as-needed.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • Strong understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, OSI model, routing protocols) and troubleshooting.
  • Experience with router and switch configuration (Ubiquiti, Cisco, Aruba, Ruckus, etc.). Please indicate specific experience and brands with your application.
  • Knowledge of VLANs and VPN technologies, for site-to-site and client-based applications.
  • Familiarity with Ubiquiti Networks or Palo Alto Networks equipment is a huge plus.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Office 365 administration (Exchange, Teams, AAD/Entra)
  • Relevant certifications such as CCNA or CompTIA Network+ are a requirement.
  • 3 or more years continuous and recent job experience.
  • Job hours: 7:30am – 4:30pm, with occasional after-hours and weekend on-call availability.
  • This is a full-time, on-site position with occasional travel required.
  • Must be willing to complete a background criminal, fingerprint, and driver history checks, and any other pre-employment screening.

Physical and Mental Requirements:

  • Must have the ability to sit, stand, stoop and bend for extended periods of time
  • Must be self-motivated, positive in approach, professional and help create, develop and implement project process improvement(s).
  • Must promote the Company culture and mission to all employees, vendors, clients, and business partners.
  • Must be able to act as the Company liaison for interface with customer representative(s).
  • Must possess proven problem-solving skills, critical thinking skills and the ability to effectively read, write and communicate effectively.
  • Must be able to work at heights, on a ladder and in confined spaces, lift up to 75 pounds and move up to 75 pounds.
  • Must be able to travel within the territory as needed.
  • Interact with employees, customers, and colleagues effectively on a professional level.
