Project ManagerEMI is seeking a highly capable and experienced Project Manager to lead a large-scale infrastructure modernization effort at a remote military installation in Alaska. This project encompasses upgrades to civil infrastructure, telecommunications and fiber networks, and fire alarm systems. The Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing all phases of project execution, ensuring timely delivery, budget adherence, and compliance with safety, quality, and contractual requirements. This role requires strong leadership, coordination with multidisciplinary teams, and the ability to manage complex logistics in a remote and challenging environment.Responsibilities:Plan and manage project scope, schedules, and budgetManage all project resourcesProcure and track project materialsIdentify and manage project risksAttend and facilitate required meetings, conferences, and working groupsProvide effective mentoring, counseling, and discipline for all Team MembersCommunicate effectively with all project stakeholdersDemonstrate effective oral and written communicationMaintain a complete and thorough knowledge of the task order, the contract and all contract modifications affecting the task orderMaintain a complete and thorough knowledge of contract requirements regarding project managementDevelop and provide inputs to an integrated master schedule to ensure all project personnel, activities and resources are efficiently aligned to meet task order objectivesParticipate in management and technical reviews of services/products and identify risks to quality, schedule, and costOther duties as assignedQualifications:Minimum of five (5) years of experience in managing construction projectsMinimum three (3) years of experience in fire protectionDemonstrated knowledge of OSHA safety standardsKnowledge of EM 385 1-1 safety standards desiredHave the Contractors course certification entitled "Construction Quality Management Training" or the ability to complete the training within 60 days after date of hireKnowledge, Skills and Abilities:Knowledge of AutoCAD, no direct experience is requiredExperience with projects on military or government installations is preferredAbility to read drawings and blueprintsSkill in operating a personal computer and standard office equipmentMust have knowledge of a variety of computer software applications in word processing, spreadsheets, database, (MSWord, Excel, Access, PowerPoint), and OutlookMust write clearly and informatively; edit work for spelling and grammar; vary writing style to meet needs; present numerical data effectively; able to read and interpret written informationPhysical Demands:While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, talk, or hear. Repetitive motions involving the arms, wrists, hands, and/or fingers may be required.The employee is occasionally required to walk, stand, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.Specific vision abilities required include close vision.Work Environment:The employee will be required to work in a remote location in Alaska under extreme weather conditions.The employee may occasionally be exposed to airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and loud noise.Chenega Corporation and family of companies is an EOE.
