About Our Team

Our flagship hospital is equipped with a 24-hour ER with Level 1 trauma center, a comprehensive stroke center, and over 500 physicians, including subspecialty groups. We provide exceptional care to our patients and value our employees' contributions to our mission.

A Day in the Life of a PCTResponsibilities
  1. Work under limited supervision of nursing and medical staff to assist patients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, eating, and other ADLs.
  2. Observe patients' progress to prepare and disseminate reports to Registered Nurse or other medical staff.
  3. Collect and record patients' vital signs and specimens for lab tests.
  4. Provide basic patient transport and housekeeping duties.
  5. Measure and record patients' intake and output and other measurements in accordance with unit routines.
  6. Assist patients with range of motion and draw blood.
  7. Participate in performance improvement activities to enhance and maintain personal and department qualifications and standards of performance.
Qualifications
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • BLS certification within 30 days of hire or transfer into position.
  • Preferred: 5 years' experience in acute or long-term care, completion of approved CNA or PCT certification, or senior year of nursing school with less than one semester to complete the nursing program.
