Internal WholesalerThe Internal Wholesaler is responsible for partnering with a Regional Sales Director to drive sales and grow market share in a defined geographic territory. The Internal Wholesaler position is an opportunity for a motivated and ambitious individual to develop a financial sales career.This role is based in our Boston office on a hybrid schedule - 4 days a week in-office, 1 day remote.ResponsibilitiesProactively consult with new and existing financial advisor clients via phone and email to strengthen relationships, identify cross-selling opportunities, and cultivate new businessPartner with Regional Sales Director to implement and execute the territory marketing and sales planEffectively segment and target calling efforts to develop strong relationships and generate new salesEffectively communicate detailed investment philosophies and processes to a sophisticated client baseIdentify sales opportunities and financial advisor needs through probing questions, presenting potential solutions and asking for appropriate actionConsistently follow up on outstanding opportunities to advance the sales cycle and deepen existing relationshipsServe as a trusted resource for our clients, representing GW&K with professionalism and expertiseAssist in coordinating appointments and meetings for Regional Sales DirectorQualificationsUndergraduate degree preferably in finance, business, or economics1-3 years sales experience within financial servicesSeries 6 (or 7) & 63 (or 66) requiredWorking knowledge of the financial markets, knowledge of the fixed income markets strongly preferredExcellent communication, presentation and listening skillsDemonstrated initiative and sales abilityAbility to work independently and collaborate in a team environmentStrong organizational and territory management skillsGW&K Investment Management is an equal opportunity employer and provides equal employment opportunities to all associates and applicants for employment without regard to gender, race, color, national origin, ancestry, pregnancy, marital status, religion, age, disability, veteran status, sexual orientation, genetic information, or any other characteristic protected under applicable federal, state or local laws.
