Director of Development

APEX Placement and Consulting has partnered with a local company in Ossining, NY looking to add an experienced Director of Development to their already amazing team. This person will be responsible for strategic plan development and execution of fundraising efforts within the organization. Think this is for you? Keep reading to find out more

What your day will look like:

• Overseeing multiple departments including direct marketing and the coordination of special events
• Collaborating with various divisions related to fundraising initiatives (magazines, mission formation, etc)
• Coordinating short-term and long-term fundraising objectives for the organization
• Overseeing strategy development, content creation and evaluation of fundraising initiatives
• Continued engagement of current donors and targeting new donors
• Evaluating all external vendors to assess quality and cost effectiveness
• Leading the RFP process to identify alternative vendors if needed
• Daily oversight of senior level managers
• Supporting additional divisions as needed

What we are looking for:

• Bachelor’s Degree in related field
• 10+ years in a senior level, non-profit fundraising leadership roles.
• Previous knowledge of multi-faceted marketing and communication strategies
• Deep understanding of delivering new revenue sources through the implementation of integrated programs
• Experienced in developing fundraising strategies and tactics
• Knowledge of Catholic fundraising and culture preferred
• Previous experience with computerized donor management systems including Portfolio/Donor Perfect and Engaging Network
• 10%+ travel required.
• Bilingual (Spanish) a plus
