Academic Breast Surgical Pathologist

The University of Kansas Health System, Division of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine, is seeking an academically oriented full-time faculty for the Division of Anatomic Pathology. You will join a team that is experiencing rapid growth and has established a sub specialization practice model, performing over 5 million tests and accessioning over 46,000 surgical pathology cases annually with a large case variety.

Successful candidate will be:

  • Fellowship trained in Breast and/or GYN
  • Additional expertise in another subspecialty such as gynecologic pathology.
  • Eligible for unrestricted licensure for the practice of medicine in Kansas is
  • Board certification or eligible in AP or AP/CP.

The Division and The University of Kansas Health System are an NCI-Designated Comprehensive Cancer Center, which provides rich opportunities for clinical and translational research, both within the Department and within the Medical Center. A robust multidisciplinary breast treatment team is active in our system.

 

About the position:

  • Participation in diagnostic sign out of 2-4 subspecialty areas.
  • Participation in general surgical pathology frozen section service.
  • Contribute to medical student, resident and fellow
  • Develop research projects reflective of his/her/their own
