Project Management:

  • Efficiently manage multiple projects concurrently, ensuring timely and within-budget completion.
  • Identify potential project risks and develop proactive mitigation strategies.
  • Foster transparent communication with clients, designers, and production teams to ensure project alignment.

Technical Proficiency:

  • Oversee the entire engineering lifecycle, encompassing design, prototyping, production, and quality assurance.
  • Demonstrate expertise in various metal fabrication processes, including cutting, welding, forming, machining, and finishing.
  • Spearhead the implementation of automation initiatives to enhance efficiency.
  • Evaluate capital equipment investments and justify costs effectively.
  • Utilize design software and industry-standard manufacturing practices (e.g., CAD, CAM, CNC).
  • Stay abreast of emerging technologies and methodologies to optimize operations continually.
  • Apply knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) principles.

Quality Assurance & Cost Management:

  • Establish and maintain robust quality control measures to uphold part specifications.
  • Drive initiatives for continuous improvement, targeting waste reduction and production cost optimization.
  • Analyze production data to identify areas for process enhancement.

Collaboration & Communication:

  • Regularly update leadership and stakeholders on project progress and challenges.
  • Cultivate strong relationships with internal and external partners, including suppliers and designers.
  • Actively participate in cross-functional initiatives to achieve shared objectives.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, with a focus on Mechanical, Manufacturing, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience within the metal fabrication industry, particularly in low-volume environments.
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities, including the ability to inspire and cultivate teams to achieve shared goals.
  • Profound technical expertise encompassing metal fabrication processes, materials, and machinery.
  • Proven aptitude in project management, with a comprehensive understanding of project management methodologies.
  • Strong analytical prowess and a track record of adept problem-solving.
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills essential for fostering productive relationships.
  • Self-motivated and proactive, with a capacity to work autonomously and drive initiatives forward.
