Come work on the Amazon Prime Air TeamThe Prime Air Global Commodity Manager has an important role in ensuring that their respective commodity and suppliers meet the technical and commercial specifications necessary for Prime Air to satisfy its internal Manufacturing Operations, Supplier Quality, Supply Chain, and Hardware Engineering customers. This candidate will work with multiple business functions in a team environment. Export Control License: This position may require a deemed export control license for compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Placement is contingent on Amazon's ability to apply for and obtain an export control license on your behalf.Key job responsibilities include managing overall supplier relationships including supply chain commodity strategy, sourcing, supplier performance, capability, capacity planning, contracting, risk mitigation, cost and quality improvements. Working with technical operations, engineering, and program teams on new product introduction programs to define standard and custom product requirements ensuring sourcing strategies meet the technical capabilities, cost, and business goals. Developing efficient and accurate mechanisms for communicating forecast and capacity requirements for sustaining and new products. Guiding the purchasing and planning teams by monitoring supplier performance and addressing supply and/or quality issues. Aligning supplier strategies to Prime Air's goals for sustaining production and new product. Development and execution of global commodity strategies that align business requirements with supplier capabilities. Maintaining monthly supplier scorecards and conducting quarterly executive business reviews.This position is either Austin or Seattle based and will require 5 days a week in the office work schedule; this position may have up to 25% travel per month in the monthly hours.About the TeamThe team consists of global sourcing professionals from various career and educational backgrounds including Automotive, Consumer Products, Technology and Aerospace. Educational background diversity consisting of Finance, Engineering, Legal and Supply Chain Management.Basic Qualifications5+ years of procurement, supply chain, inventory management, contract management, lease administration or operations experience5+ years of relevant strategic sourcing including vendor negotiations, global contract management, process improvement, operational and financial analysis experienceBachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, Finance, or a related technical fieldExperience in procurement, supply chain, inventory management, contract management, lease administration or operationsExperience in strategic sourcing including vendor negotiations, global contract management, process improvement, operational and financial analysisExperience with data analysis tools such as Advanced Excel, SQL, Tableau, PythonExperience in global supply chain management, managing cross-functional teams in a fast-paced consumer electronics product companyPreferred Qualifications4+ years of program, project, product management, or leading a product implementation process experienceMaster's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Computer Science, or a related fieldExperience in program, project, product management, or leading a product implementation processExperience in data centers, infrastructure service providers, or related technology companiesAmazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status. The base pay for this position ranges from $71,500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $153,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
