We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Consulting HR Specialist to join our thriving construction company. This role is pivotal in supporting and developing our most valuable asset - our people. The successful candidate will have a strong background in all aspects of Human Resources, including but not limited to, talent acquisition, benefits administration, and employee relations. A minimum of 2+ years of experience in a similar role is required. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to a fast-paced, growing organization and make a significant impact on its continued success.

Responsibilities:
  • Bridge management and employee relations by addressing demands, grievances, or other issues.
  • Enter new hires and assist with onboarding
  • Support current and future business needs through the development, engagement, motivation, and preservation of human capital.
  • Oversee and manage a performance appraisal system that drives high performance.
  • Ensure legal compliance throughout human resource management.
  • Administer and explain benefits to employees, serve as liaison between employees and insurance carriers.
  • Resolve employee issues related to health and welfare plans, refer difficult or very complex issues to supervisor if needed.
  • Develop and maintain a happy and productive workplace.

Qualifications:
  • Proven working experience as an HR assistant or other HR specialist.
  • People-oriented and results-driven.
  • Demonstrable experience with Human Resources metrics.
  • Knowledge of HR systems and databases.
  • Ability to architect strategy along with leadership skills.
  • Excellent active listening, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Competence to build and effectively manage interpersonal relationships at all levels of the company.
  • In-depth knowledge of labor law and HR best practices.
  • Degree in Human Resources or related field.
  • Familiarity with the construction industry is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a keen attention to detail.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP highly preferred.
