Candidates must possess the ability to work well as part of a team within Richdale Apartments. Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills are necessary.ResponsibilitiesYour specific duties in this role will include:Designing and maintaining accounting systems and controls which meet policy standards as set by ManagementManaging monthly close and reconciliation processPlanning, organizing, and coordinating the year-end close processHaving an excellent understanding of general ledger to maintain and manage all aspects of the general ledgerPreparing and/or reviewing appropriate ledger entries and reconciliationsPreparing monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements, including cash flow statementsResearching authoritative literature for proper treatment of accounting topicsProviding internal and/or external financial analysis, consultation and decision supportWorking with management on financial projections and financial modelingAssisting CFO with special projects as necessaryAssisting in annual tax preparation process and prepare reports to ensure compliance with federal, state and local tax regulatory requirementsReconciling general ledge accounts, including researching account discrepancies and variancesPerforming variance analysis of expense for both residential and commercial assetsMaintaining schedules of fixed asset and manage the depreciation software databaseDemonstrating problem solving and analytical abilities where problems are complexProviding value-based and market-based analysis that drive decisionsEmbracing and managing changeWhat We Offer401(k)/401(k) match Traditional & RothDental InsuranceEmployee DiscountsFlexible Spending AccountHealth InsurancePaid Time OffReferral ProgramVision InsuranceCareer growth opportunitiesAccess to fitness centers and poolsCollege Savings PlanLife InsuranceDisability InsuranceEmployee Assistance ProgramQualificationsMust possess strong analytical, communication, organizational, technology and leadership skillsMinimum of 5 -10 years of accounting or finance experience, including comprehensive knowledge of accounting principlesMinimum of a bachelor's degree in accounting, business or finance but prefer applicants who have also earned certification as a certified public accountant (CPA) or certified management accountant (CMA)Must be very detail-oriented with strong oral and written communication skillsMust have the ability to work independently and the ability to work effectively with senior members of other departmentsMust be able to handle sensitive information in a confidential mannerStrong interpersonal skills and a demonstrated commitment to teamwork
