As a Director in the Corporate Development group, you will play the primary ownership role in strategic partnerships, investments, joint ventures, acquisitions, and other meaningful external engagements that support Dematic's mission and company goals. You will lead entire processes including strategy formulation and fundamental decision-making, financial modeling/valuation analysis, due diligence, project management with a variety of collaborators and workstreams, negotiation and deal execution, working with business leaders, internal cross-functional partners, and external advisors. Final compensation will be determined by various factors such as work location, education, and experience.Tasks and Qualifications:This is what you will do in this role:Identify appropriate opportunities strategic priorities through interaction with business leaders, investment bankers, venture capitalists, and organic pipeline generationPartner with Dematic's regions and functions to identify & pursue inorganic opportunities for expansion or growthEvaluate the benefits (or risks) of potential partnerships or acquisitions and execute the process of building both internal and external consensus.Act as a subject matter expert on valuation and deal structuringLead all pre-transaction diligence effortsCoordinate all inorganic workstreams to gain executive approval (at Dematic and KION level) and bring transactions over the finish lineWork with all cross-functional groups within Dematic from signing the term sheet to accurate integrationProvide insights into inorganic opportunities in the marketplace to senior leadersEstablish the ongoing processes, skills, and inorganic strategy that will enable Dematic to continue to build out our corporate development proficiency, in the face of a rapidly changing industryThis is what we are looking for:10+ years of work experience in a combination of corporate development/integration, strategy, management consulting, investment banking and/or other related fields, including at least 3+ years of proven experience leading a teamBachelor's degree required (Business Administration, Finance, Engineering, or other relevant majors)Hunter mentality to pursue inorganic growth opportunitiesSignificant financial modelling and business case expertise including the ability to clearly present business drivers & key outputsAttention to detail coupled with strong organization, problem solving, and planning skillsStrong communication and people skills, ability to operate at the highest levels internally and externally with a high degree of credibilityAble to work effective with a wide range of people and geographiesUnderstanding of key business drivers in warehouse automation and software industry to develop the inorganic strategy for the global organizationMust have an up-to-date passport and be willing to travel to events throughout the yearWill be responsible for direct reports and their professional development
