Shipping SupervisorAt CF&I Steel, L.P., our strength starts with our people As a team we collaborate to solve problems, contribute ideas and challenge each other to ensure growth and ultimately success for the business and our employees.We are seeking a Shipping Supervisor to join the Seamless Mill team located in Pueblo, Colorado. As a Production Supervisor, you will be responsible for all day-to-day manufacturing and quality operations on the seamless mill. This position reports directly to the General Supervisor for the Seamless Mill.Responsibilities:Perform daily mill inspections with an eye for safety and productivity issues, coordinate with mill support groups to design and implement countermeasuresConduct shift safety meetings and daily toolbox talks, train employees on safe work practices, and conduct daily safe job observationsUse LEAN tools from the EVRAZ Business System to engage employees to continuously improve mill operationsSchedule and maintain shift manpower for mill operations and trainingResponsible for managing an operational and quality team during manufacturing operations and while performing operational maintenance of mechanical equipment including hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and mechanical systemsConduct performance evaluations for probationary employeesSupervise the Seamless Mill Quality Assurance InspectorsUse quality standards to evaluate product conformance and troubleshoot quality issues promptlyMaintain and correct electronic and written records including shift performance, heat traceability, and quality assuranceMaintain KRONOS Pay System by reviewing, editing, and approving employee timecards dailyMaintain a good working knowledge of the collective bargaining agreements and applicable company policiesCoordinate truck and rail logisticsWork with vendor managed inspection groups to ensure smooth transfer of productWork with shipping department and railroad to manage truck and rail transfersConduct pipe inventories as required, maintain records, and coordinate with accounting and planning groups to correct deficienciesPerforms other duties as they might be assignedRequirements:Bachelor's of Science Degree or equivalent experienceThree years of industrial supervisory experienceProficient in Microsoft Office - Word and ExcelExperience with Oracle, database development, statistical process control, process control, and automation technologies, and lean manufacturing principlesExcellent planning, time management, and organizational skillsProven ability to organize and motivate production teams for safe, high-quality results and maximum productivityProven ability to professionally communicate with all levels of personnel, in written and verbal formsStrong leadership and managerial skillsStrong problem-solving and proven decision-making skillsDemonstrated initiative to identify areas, propose and initiate solutionsAbility to multitaskCompensation:$85,000 - $90,000Our total compensation package includes amazing benefitsCompetitive wages and bonus opportunitiesFamily medical, dental, and prescription coverage at minimal employee costShort and long term disability programsCompetitive retirement plansFlexible Spending and Health Savings AccountsEmployer-provided and Voluntary Life Insurance optionsPaid vacation and recognized statutory holidaysApprenticeship and career advancement within the companyTuition reimbursementWellness programAll applicants must be eligible to work in the USA.While we thank all those who apply, only those being actively considered for employment will be contacted.Orion Steel Group, L.L.C. is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
