Supervisor, Revenue Audit- Tribal FinanceUnder the direction of the Manager, Operations- Tribal Finance, the Supervisor, Revenue Audit- Tribal Finance oversees the daily execution of audit activities within the Revenue Audit section of accounting. Ensures the accurate recording, verification, and posting of transactions in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and regulatory standards. Supports compliance with National Indian Gaming Commission (NIGC), Minimum Internal Control Standards (MICS) and Gaming Commission Regulations, and contributes to the development of audit procedures and staff training while maintaining audit integrity and operational efficiency.The essential duties and responsibilities include:Supervising audit staff to ensure revenue cycle audits are completed accurately and timely.Reviewing audit workpapers and supporting documentation for completeness and accuracy.Preparing and distributing daily operational revenue reports; recording month-end revenue-related journal entries.Establishing and tailoring audit programs and testing procedures.Coordinating staff involvement in project-related activities.Maintaining effective communication with other departments.Determining sampling methods and specific analysis for high-risk audits.Performing other duties as assigned.Supervisory responsibilities include interviewing, hiring and training employees; planning, assigning, reviewing and directing work; evaluating and appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Makes hiring decisions and designs individual development plans with succession planning in mind for all key roles.Education, experience, and qualifications required:Bachelors degree, preferably with a concentration in Accounting or Finance.MBA degree and/or CPA preferred.Minimum three (3) years work experience and/or training in Audit, Accounting, Fraud, Risk, Compliance, or other professional investigative or risk-based experience.Knowledge, skills, and abilities include:Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), Generally Accepted Auditing Standards (GAAS), National Indian Gaming Commission Minimum Internal Controls (MICS), and the Committee of Sponsoring Organizations of the Treadway Commission (COSO) framework.Ability to develop and tailor audit programs and testing procedures.Skilled in identifying high-risk audit areas and applying appropriate sampling and analysis techniques.Demonstrated ability to supervise audit staff, assign tasks effectively, and provide coaching and feedback.Exceptional interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.Strong ability to employ a proactive approach to problem solving.Strong knowledge of accounting software, database software, and casino operating systems.Advanced computer skills, including expert-level proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.Physical requirements and working conditions include:Primary work environment is in a climate-controlled office setting.Work requires travel to attend meetings, trade shows, and conferences.Incumbents may be required to work evening, weekend, and holiday shifts.Must be able to work in a fast-paced, high-demand environment.Sedentary work: involves sitting most of the time.Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery.Physical activities include balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions.The employee may be exposed to fumes or airborne particles including secondhand smoke.Reasonable accommodation will be made in compliance with all applicable law.As one of the largest private employers in the Inland Empire, San Manuel deeply cares about the future, growth, and well-being of its employees.
