As our Tax Associate, you will work closely with the Tax Managers within the Tax Department and specifically focus on managing our various tax preparation engagements with third-party preparers, as well as manage the preparation of corporate and partnership returns.


  • Partner with outsourced firms to prepare thousands of K1 packages and associated annual reporting.
  • Review federal and state tax returns prepared by third party preparers
  • Manage quarterly fixed asset depreciation processes in Sage Fixed Asset Software and Yardi Accounting Software for existing and new assets
  • Help manage exposure to FATCA legislation and Foreign investor reporting, including preparation of Forms 8804/8805 and Forms 1042 for various entities
  • Prepare quarterly and other periodic tax withholding and estimated payments for the partnerships and corporations within the various fund structures
  • Calculate taxable income and tax liability estimates for disposed assets


What you should bring


  • Excellent Microsoft Excel skills
  • Understanding of tax depreciation and calculations, especially related to the real estate industry
  • Experience interfacing with Federal and State tax authorities
  • Big Four accounting firm experience
  • Experience reviewing, U.S., multistate partnership, international tax returns and US filings for foreign persons/entities
