What does a day in the life look like?

Serve with Quality to Internal and External Customers of Roanoke Plant. Ensuring the Quality of parts meeting the customer specifications providing problem-solving for Quality Issues and embracing the continuous improvements of processes


What does success look like?

  • Monitoring Quality KPIs and generating actions for improvement
  • Develop projects to Increase the Quality performance
  • Ensure quick and correct response to Quality Issues either internally or externally.
  • Assure Problem Solving and Analysis of Chronic Issues.
  • Manage the KPI of QR and flow-outs for the process.
  • Generate Action Plans for KPI out of target
  • Improve performance and efficiency of Quality Controls and create improvement projects in the process.
  • Develop a Quality Systemic strategy for the process and Deliverables.
  • Innovate in new ways and tools to improve quality
  • Provide a response to the shop floor need for Quality abnormalities
  • Follow supplier performance and work with supplier for improvement
  • Ensure the IATF 16949 requirements are met in the process.
  • Participate in multi-disciplinary teams to improve the performance of the process.
  • Promote the Quality mindset across the organization.


What you will bring:

  • Education Engineering degree
  • Master’s degree Desirable (Desirable)
  • Certified Quality Engineer (Desirable)
  • Spanish Language (Desirable)
  • Minimum 2+ years’ experience in the automotive industry, in the area of quality and / or manufacturing.


Technical Skills:

  • Quality Management Systems
  • Quality Procedures
  • Customer Specific Requirements
  • Certified Quality Engineer by ASQ (desired)
  • Quality Systems Management IATF or ISO 9001
  • Geometric and Dimensional Tolerancing
  • Quality Tools for Problem-solving
  • Core Tools (control plan, FMEA, histogram, etc)
  • Statistical knowledge.
