Pick/Pack 1st Shift (Union PA)Location: Glenview, Illinois, United StatesWork Hours: Mon-Fri 6:00am-2:30pmFunction: WarehouseJob Description: We are in search of a 1st Shift Warehouse Associate to join our growing team. The 1st Shift Warehouse Associate will receive and put away product and pick and ship order. This is a Union Position. Per the Collective Bargaining Agreement the starting pay for this position is $20.00/hr. plus overtime and pay differential opportunities. Warehouse Workers who become Certified Forklift Operators after hire are eligible to receive an additional $1.00 per hour on full shifts when they operate the forkliftResponsibilities Include:Receive and put away inbound receipts from vendors.Pick outbound orders.Provide general warehouse labor support.Visually inspects products for defects, setting aside defective items to one side on a skid for the rework department.Pack items in designated carton per customer orders.Place identification labels on outbound shipments.Report discrepancies to supervisorThe Ideal Candidate Will Have:Be able to do basic math.Ability to stand and walk for up to 8 hours.Ability to lift frequently up to 15-35 pounds, occasionally up to 50 pounds.Warehouse experience preferred, willing to train the right candidate.Forklift, reach trucks and other D/C equipment operation experience preferred, but willing to train.Physical Requirements: While performing the duties of this job, work is regularly performed while standing, sitting, walking, bending and reaching.
