Job Description

The position of acupuncture practitioner requires a LAc/DAc/DAOM/OMD with experience in whole body and auricular acupuncture techniques as well as care navigation for concierge and integrative medicine clients. This position is for a practitioner interested in working closely with the Medical Doctors and Benessair team of providers to ensure the highest quality in patient care and chronic medical condition management. Preference to practitioners with two or more years in practice, however new grads can still apply. There may be other duties added as deemed necessary by management. Prefer candidates that have experience in manual and/or massage therapy as well. Scope of practice will be restricted to acupuncture and massage training.

 

Benessair Health is new facility located in Paradise Valley, AZ. This is a full-time position. Candidates must have a positive attitude, be energetic, dependable, empathetic with patients, and can develop a trusting relationship with patients and staff. Must be organized, have the ability to follow through and complete work assignments independently, and be responsible and pay attention to details.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

· Establish and maintain positive clinical rapport with clients and their families, working closely with them in the provision of infusion therapy and care navigation as part of the clinical care coordinator position under the concierge medicine division.

 

· Obtain and document patient's medical history pertinent to acupuncture and perform pre screening assessment as required to perform acupuncture and/or manual therapy services.

 

· Communicate observations of patient response to therapy and overall physical assessment / condition with members of the care team in a timely manner.

 

· Maintain a comprehensive knowledge of Benessair policies, procedures and protocols in addition to all available training resources to ensure understanding of each therapy before initiating treatment.

 

· Maintain current acupuncture licensure in which patients are serviced, as required by the respective State Boards.

 

· Comply with all State and Federal regulations and laws, including employee health and safety protections mandated by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), patient privacy and data security required by the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), as well as all home infusion standards of practice.

 

· Complete all training required upon hire and annually per policy, including cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) certification, fingerprinting.

 

· Serve as a professional representative of Benessair and Consolaré when meeting with and/or providing education to external customers, payers and referral sources.

 

 

Additional Information:

· Position Type: Hourly

· Shift: Weekdays/ Weekends (Monday through Saturdays)

· Compensation: based on experience

· Benefits: Eligibility available with 32+ hours of work per week

 

Requirements:

· Must provide evidence of successful graduation (masters level) from ACAOM accredited acupuncture program that is approved by the State of Arizona Acupuncture Board of Examiners.

· Doctorate of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine is strongly preferred.
