Phlebotomist

Pride Health is hiring Phlebotomist II to support our client’s medical facility based in Dawsonville GA 30534 with part-time role

Location: Dawsonville GA 30534

Candidates expected to see around 25 patients per day

Looking for a phlebotomist with strong patient verification of demographics. Great accuracy, speed, positive attitude, and highly professional. Must be able to problem solve effectively.

Job Type: 3 months - W2 contract - 28hrs a week -with possible extension

Schedule:

Monday & Friday 8am-1p

Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday 7am-1pm

Pay Range: $18-$20.00 (Offered pay rate will be based on education, experience, and healthcare credentials.)

Responsibilities:

Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination, updating patient information, etc.

Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures.

Properly explains in a clear but courteous manner the process of the venipuncture (blood drawing) and or other specimen collection (ex. urine or fecal) as required.

Demonstrate technique/s using straight needles and/or butterfly needles.

Label, centrifuge, split, and freeze specimens as required by test order.

Package specimens for transport.

Stores specimen sample according to required temperature, places samples in appropriate collection container/ tube, accurately labels, follows different procedures as outlined by specific to protocol deemed necessary for transport to maintain integrity of the specimen.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Minimum 2yrs of phlebotomy experience is required.
