Good Shepherd Community Care, a renowned hospice and palliative care organization in Greater Boston, seeks an experienced Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join its Home Care Aide team. This Per Diem Weekend CNA position is ideal for individuals who are passionate about providing quality end-of-life care and value a collaborative work environment.

Job Overview

Our interdisciplinary hospice team relies on skilled CNAs like you to deliver comprehensive, consistent, and high-quality care to patients in their private homes and residential facilities across Greater Boston and parts of Metrowest. As a Per Diem Weekend CNA, you will be required to travel between patients and provide assistance with daily hygiene, ambulation, exercise, toileting, nutritional support, dressing changes, and other activities as designated by the hospice nurse.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive care to patients in their private homes and residential facilities
  • Assist with daily hygiene, ambulation, exercise, toileting, nutritional support, dressing changes, and other activities as designated by the hospice nurse
  • Travel between patients and adapt to changing schedules and circumstances
  • Work collaboratively with the interdisciplinary hospice team to deliver high-quality patient care
Requirements
  • Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in Massachusetts
  • Minimum 75 hours of clinical study, including classroom training and at least 16 hours of supervised practical training
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Clear communication and interpersonal skills
  • Hospice, Palliative, or Oncology experience is a plus
