The Advance Registered Nurse Practitioner is a license independent contractor who performs services delegated by the supervising physician under indirect or direct supervision and who are functioning in a dependent relationship with a supervising physician and who are performing tasks or condition of tasks traditionally performed by the physician. Responsibilities: The APRN must clearly identify to the patient that he/she is a APRN. Furthermore, the APRN must inform the patient that the patient has the right to see the physician prior to any prescription being prescribed by the APRN and will perform services only under indirect supervision: 1. Interview New Patients to obtain all required medical information needed to set up a medical record chart. 2. On established patients, APRN reviews results of test done. 3. Evaluates dynamic of symptomatology. 4. Evaluating the patient’s Condition. 5. Performs case histories. 6. Implementing a Plan of treatment, including diagnostic testing. 7. Follow Up the condition’s progress and diagnostic studies results. 8. Prescribed medication (If Applicable) 9. Must note the prescription in the appropriate medical record. (If Applicable) 10. Works with the staff to ensure that the medical needs of the patient are met. 11. Acting as a liaison with the Physician. 12. Will be on calls outside of the office of the physician or facility, on the direct order of the physician. 13. Participating in the review of the billing process. 14. Will be under indirect supervision of a physician. 15. Will keep medical records documentation according to the State and Federal regulations and their guidelines. 16. Participating in the preparation of Superbills. 17. He will endeavor to maintain the good name and reputation of the Medical Facility and to promote its best interest. Qualification: The APRN should graduate of an approved program or its equivalent or meet standards approved by the Board of Medicine and the Board of Nursing.
