Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Job Specialty: Emergency Department Job Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Mids 10am-10pm, 12pm-12am, 3pm-3am Guaranteed Hours: 36 Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in Emergency Medicine License: RN ADN Certifications: ACLS, PALS, BLS, TNCC Must-Have: Experience with Trauma, Stroke, STEMI, Sepsis, Moderate Sedation Job Description: - Work in a 198-bed, level III trauma center with state-of-the-art operating suites. - Provide healthcare to a diverse region, servicing parts of multiple states. - Support a variety of medical services including surgical, rehabilitation, childbirth, nephrology, and pediatric care. - Engage with a team using a pod system and benefit from a social worker and unit educator support. - Handle emergency situations with a patient ratio of 4:1 in Main ED and 6:1 in Fast Track. - Utilize medical equipment such as Zoll Defibrillator, Blood Transfuser, Blood Warmer, and Ultrasound for IV. - Maintain patient information and treatment plans using Cerner electronic health records. - Typical patient diagnoses include ESRD, Substance Abuse Disorders, Psychological Disorders, COPD, CHF, Abdominal Pain, and Chest Pain. - Engage with a patient population ranging from geriatric, adult, to pediatric. - Collaborate with the interim ED manager and clinical coordinator for optimal departmental operations. This job offers the opportunity to work in a supportive team environment, handling a variety of emergency medical situations and utilizing advanced medical technology. The position involves no on-call requirements and requires work on a minimum of two weekends per schedule.
