The group is currently searching for a senior manager to lead projects in the areas of energy tax credits and R&D tax credits.A successful candidate will be prepared to assist the current leadership in expanding revenue by working with practice offices on existing clients and external opportunities coming through our business development team and possess the following skills:Managing R&D projects with a focus on growing R&D tax credit engagements for Energy companies where expertise in the following areas will help Crowe gain market share:Seismic imaging technologyExperimental drilling technologyExperimental completion technologyUnique drilling/fracking techniquesStage spacing for well completionsExperimental fluids and proppant formulasManaging Energy Tax Credit projects:Managing Prevailing Wage & Apprenticeship (PWA) engagements for both large and small energy projects (solar, wind, hydrogen, battery storage, etc.)Managing Investment Tax Credit (ITC) and Production Tax Credit (PTC) studiesIncluding performing tax technical analysis and drafting reports for our clientsDrive business development and sales growthExhibit proven leadership and project management skills in managing client service teams and multiple projects in a fast-paced and interactive team environment to meet and exceed client expectationsPerforming tax technical analysis and quality review on tax credit studies and communicating tax technical issues to the broader teamDeep understanding of IRC Sections 45 and 48 and related regulations and guidanceEffectively lead client discussions with multiple stakeholders including Tax Directors, General Contractors, Project Managers, etc.Develop and execute project work plansDevelop appropriate quantitative and qualitative documentation to support project resultsStrong analytical, problem solving, critical thinking and decision-making skillsStrong data management skills, including advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, Power BI, and AlteryxAbility to mentor and develop staff and young professionals, including on the job technical training and coachingPersonal drive to develop self/others and provide leadership insight to the existing leadership teamQualifications: Bachelor's degree in accounting or engineering, MST is a plus. At least 7+ years experience in public accounting; strong preference for Big 4 or large regional firm experience. Experience in the subject matter areas described above preferred.
