Our team is growing, and we’re searching for an AWS Python Developer who is a creative problem-solver with their fingertips on the latest industry practices to help our clients achieve digital realization. You’ll join a group of industry veterans and digital natives, blending the power of tried-and-true methods with cutting-edge technologies. We prioritize authentic partnerships in a collaborative environment, and we’re excited to welcome an AWS Python Developer who is eager to bring their expertise to our team.


Responsibilities:

  • Help build and manage the Data Catalog Integration & Lineage solutions in Collibra. Will be a developer and will be responsible for implementing, testing, and deploying the system.
  • They will also need to analyze current state and collaborate on system design with the Tech lead.
  • Designs, implements, and deploys cloud platforms to support and meet business needs. Identifies and recommends opportunities for improvement and performance issue solutions.
  • Provides intermediate level technical support and monitors multiple cloud technology platforms efficiency through the use of monitoring tools and applications.
  • Maintains comprehensive technical knowledge of cloud software and infrastructure platforms.
  • Develops technical standards. Tests and evaluates IT vendor products.
  • Reviews configuration parameters to optimize system performance and maximize operation uptime
  • Trains and mentors staff and IT project teams, providing guidance and consultation as required. Updates, writes, and maintains documentation for the department.
  • Administers systems by actively managing patching, routine maintenance and backups to include the scheduling and execution of related tasks.
  • Evaluating system performance and capacity in a large distributed infrastructure environment
  • Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.


Qualifications

Over 6 years of software development experience with 4+ years’ experience in AWS Cloud development.

Programming/Development:

AWS: CloudFormation, CloudWatch, IAM, S3, EC2, ECS, EKS, Lambda, SQS, DynamoDB, Athena, AWS Glue, Redshift, RDS

Scripting & Programming Languages: Python, Java, Spark, Bash

Python Modules: Boto3, Pandas

Code pipeline: GitHub, Bitbucket, Bamboo

Ability to write unit testing.

Splunk logging & reporting.

  • Knowledge of Collibra is preferable
