Job Summary: We are seeking a certified and experienced Forklift Operator for our Richmond, Virginia warehouse. As a Forklift Operator, you will be vital to our daily logistics operations, ensuring the efficient and safe movement of goods throughout the facility. This role requires a keen understanding of forklift operation, a commitment to Safety, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team. You will be responsible for moving materials, loading and unloading trucks, and maintaining accurate inventory placement.Responsibilities: Operate forklifts (e.g., sit-down, stand-up, electric) safely and efficiently. Load and unload incoming and outgoing shipments from trucks and trailers. Transport materials to and from designated warehouse areas, including storage racks. Conduct daily inspections of forklift equipment and report any maintenance needs. Assist with order picking and put-away of inventory as needed. Maintain accurate inventory records by ensuring proper placement and scanning of goods. Adhere strictly to all company Safety policies and procedures, including mandatory PPE use. Help maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work environment. Occasional requirement for Lifting and moving items up to 60 lbs. Follow all logistics and warehouse operational procedures. Qualifications: Valid forklift operator certification and a minimum of 1-2 years of experience. High school diploma or equivalent. Proven ability to operate various types of forklifts safely. Strong knowledge of warehouse Safety practices and OSHA regulations. Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) is a plus. Good hand-eye coordination and attention to detail. Ability to stand, walk, and operate machinery for extended periods. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Must be reliable and punctual.
