Are you passionate about leading architectural projects from vision to reality? Do you thrive in a collaborative environment where creativity meets technical expertise? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our dynamic team as a Healthcare Project Architect.

About Us: Identity Architects is a dynamic architectural firm dedicated to creating innovative and sustainable designs that inspire and enrich communities. We believe in fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment where all team members' contributions are valued and respected.

Position Overview: As a Healthcare Project Architect at Identity Architects, you will play a pivotal role in leading architectural projects from conception to completion, ensuring adherence to design standards, timelines, and budgetary constraints. The ideal candidate will possess a blend of architectural expertise, project management skills, and leadership abilities to drive successful project outcomes.

Qualifications:

  • Professional degree in Architecture from an accredited institution; licensure as a Registered Architect (RA) preferred.
  • Proven experience as a Project Architect in an architectural firm, with at least 8 years of relevant experience.
  • 5 years of experience with healthcare projects
  • Proficiency in architectural design software, including AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Strong project management skills, including the ability to develop project plans, schedules, and budgets, and track progress against established goals.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with clients, team members, and stakeholders.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of building codes, zoning regulations, and construction practices in the USA.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities, with the capacity to motivate and guide project teams towards successful project outcomes.
  • Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on quality assurance, problem-solving, and continuous improvement.
  • Ability to travel to project sites as needed and possess a valid driver's license.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Planning and Design Development:

  • Collaborate with clients to understand project requirements, goals, and design preferences.
  • Lead design charrettes, brainstorming sessions, and concept development meetings with project stakeholders.
  • Prepare project proposals, feasibility studies, and schematic designs in response to client briefs.
  • Conduct site assessments, zoning analysis, and code reviews to inform design decisions.

Project Management and Coordination:

  • Develop comprehensive project plans, schedules, and budgets, and monitor progress against established metrics.
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary project teams, including architects, engineers, contractors, and consultants.
  • Facilitate regular project meetings, status updates, and design reviews to ensure alignment with project goals.
  • Manage project documentation, including contracts, permits, drawings, and specifications, in compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Proactively identify and mitigate project risks, conflicts, and scope changes to maintain project scope and budget.

Construction Administration and Quality Assurance:

  • Oversee the construction phase of projects, including contractor selection, bidding processes, and contract negotiations.
  • Conduct regular site visits and inspections to monitor construction progress, quality, and compliance with design intent.
  • Review and approve shop drawings, material submittals, and change orders in collaboration with the project team.
  • Resolve construction-related issues, conflicts, and field modifications in a timely and cost-effective manner.
  • Ensure project deliverables meet quality standards, building codes, and client expectations.

Client Communication and Relationship Management:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, addressing inquiries, providing project updates, and managing expectations.
  • Foster positive client relationships through effective communication, collaboration, and responsiveness.
  • Present project proposals, design concepts, and progress reports to clients and project stakeholders.
  • Solicit client feedback and incorporate revisions or modifications to design solutions as necessary.

Benefits:

  • Competitive salary and benefits package.
  • Weekly and Monthly companywide engagement activities
  • Opportunities for professional development and growth within a supportive team environment.
  • Individualized recognition and rewards for contributions and achievements.
  • Flexible schedules and work locations
  • Health, Vision and Dental coverage
  • Life insurance policies
  • Retirement planning
  • Wellness perks

Traits We Value:

  • This individual values accuracy and attention to detail, preferring technical or research-related projects. They may initially seek direction but become more confident with experience, though over-supervision can be perceived as distrust.
  • Reserved and preferring boundaries, this person works well within established policies and avoids confrontation. They require time to trust others and are uncomfortable in large groups but can communicate directly and factually.
  • They enjoy variety in work but can focus on systematic tasks. They are not interested in risk-related work and may wait on others for decisions in such situations.
  • Seeking structure and guidelines, they strive for certainty and reliability, avoiding confrontation and questioning authority indirectly. They prefer individualized recognition and take criticism personally.
  • Behaviorally flexible with some stress resistance, they may tire under prolonged stress and avoid such situations if possible. They balance emotion and logic, considering others' feelings while capable of restraint or sympathy.
  • Capable of imaginative thought and open to new concepts, they should be encouraged in their ingenuity, which is enhanced by experience.
