Qualifications

  • 4-7 years of legal experience
  • 2+ years of relevant experience in franchise law
  • 2+ years of experience with Canada Franchise Laws
  • Experience in hospitality industry, preferred


Responsibilities

  • Responsible for managing all legal issues that might impact the company as related to the franchise system, including but not limited to following all USA franchisees registration protocols, manage the franchise disclosure documentation required by the Federal Trade Commission, and create, draft, and review all contracts negotiated
  • Drafting franchise and Multi Unit Operator Agreements
  • Effectively communicate to senior level leadership oral and written internal experts on franchising, intellectual property, data privacy, marketing, HR, and other matters
  • Ensure franchise agreements are compliance with Canada Laws
  • Review, edit, and draft commercial agreements related to the establishment, structuring, and maintenances of the franchise.
  • Protect the franchisor's confidential information.
