DAY TO DAY AS A MEMBER SPECIALIST
You will play a crucial role in ensuring members receive top-notch service from the moment they walk through our doors. By actively listening to members' needs and offering tailored solutions, you will help them achieve their financial goals efficiently and effectively. Your responsibilities will encompass a wide range of tasks, from processing teller transactions to opening new accounts and conducting account maintenance. With a focus on promoting credit union products and services that benefit our members, you will have the opportunity to contribute to their financial well-being while also supporting internal sales efforts. Your attention to detail and commitment to resolving member issues promptly and courteously will be key in fostering strong relationships and upholding our dedication to superior member service.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR IN A MEMBER SPECIALIST
To excel as a Full Time Member Specialist at Greenville Federal Credit Union, candidates should possess a minimum of two years of college education or an associate's degree in a related field, or demonstrate an equivalent combination of education and experience. Additionally, having 1-3 years of sales experience, including familiarity with lending practices, is beneficial. Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential, along with the ability to confidently cross-sell products and services. Successful candidates will exhibit a positive, service-oriented attitude and be adept at working with diverse stakeholders, including members and senior management.
Proficiency in financial software, MS Word, Excel, and Outlook, as well as intermediate mathematical skills, are key requirements. The ability to think creatively, multitask effectively, and maintain confidentiality is crucial for thriving in this dynamic role.
