Contemporary Patternmaker

Contemporary Fashion Brand is looking for a skilled Gerber Patternmaker to join their team You will be working across all categories including, tees, denim, mens and womens.

Responsibilities

• Create first through production patterns in Gerber for a full range of sportswear styles, from pants and jackets, to tops and dresses
• Work with tech adviser to import technical packages for costing and production
• Shrinkage knowledge
• Drape, draft, and issue cuts
• Attend fittings, measure garments and document and implement changes.
• Work with sample makers to ensure proper garment construction and to ensure pre-production samples meet requirements.
• Spec and fit approvals for pre-production, final production samples
• Partner/ Collaborate with design and product development teams to craft collection

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in pattern making and contemporary fit Formal education in Pattern Making and Apparel Production- Contemporary experience
• Strong trend and fashion awareness
• Experience with intricate, designer-level patterns and fabrications
• Knowledge of garment dyes, woven and leather
• Tailoring experience, excellent draping skills, and strong construction and sewing knowledge a MUST
• Ability to be a team-player and multi-task in a fast-paced environment
• Computer proficiency in Gerber, Microsoft Office, Excel, PLM and Microsoft Teams
• First through Production Pattern maker
• Must have good communication and written skills

Must have knits/wovens/denim and Gerber Experience
