With more than 400 employees and approximately 180 investment professionals, the firm is a leading capital partner for North American middle market companies.Position Summary:The Tax Manager will be a key member of the growing Tax Team. Experience in partnership tax is required, with particular knowledge of alternative investments. The Tax Manager must be able to coordinate and manage several projects at the same time.Responsibilities:Review and sign-off of tax workpapers and tax returns for funds, GP and Co-Invest entitiesReview and sign-off of state risk analysis workpaper prepared by CPA firmsAssist with review and sign-off of portfolio holding company partnership tax returnsReview and sign-off of quarterly and annual tax estimate workpapers for funds, GP and Co-Invest entitiesOversee and manage outsourced CPA teamSupport distributions to investors by identifying tax withholding requirementsHelp maintain partner information used for K1 reporting and withholding calculationsUpdate and monitor various project trackersCollect and review documentation to support tax return filings and calculationsAnalyze legal documents such as operating agreements to determine tax implications of contributions, distributions, tax allocations, and other reporting itemsRespond to investor questions on tax reportingAd hoc projects as neededRequirements/Qualifications:Bachelor's degree5-8 years of partnership tax, with a blend of Big 4 and industry experienceKnowledge of individual, corporate, foreign tax reporting, and/or state tax helpfulProficiency in ExcelExcellent interpersonal and communication skillsTeam player, attention to detail, and proven ability to multi-taskOther Duties:This job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee.
