About the Role:

Aletek is a well-established partner to tier-one mining and natural resource companies around the globe. We deliver exhaust and thermal protection solutions to our clients throughout six countries (and growing). As the Head of Global IT, you will enjoy taking Aletek on an exciting journey to one completely integrated global operating platform. We are looking for experience and resource as we embark on this exciting journey.

Role purpose:

• To set up and be the leader of a new IT team, manage 3rd party service providers and lead the projects required for our technology transformation.

Role responsibilities:

• Responsible for driving the success of our migration to Microsoft Dynamics 365 and complete the migration to the modern workplace integrated cloud systems in Office 365.
• Drive performance through the planning, managing and coordinating of external vendors including but not limited to, our MSP provider, D365 implementation partners, HRM provider and network service providers.
• Hire and manage a small internal team for the success of the IT department if needed. .
• Build cross-functional partnerships with all other departments as appropriate to ensure that they have the systems in place to be successful and they are well maintained.
• Manage process improvement activities, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and SOP’s. Ensure Esystems are compliant, and we maintain ISO accreditation and practice best in class industry standards.

Skills, training and experience:

• Proven track record of taking ownership, successful software implementation and working with teams across the organization.
• Proven track record of converting companies' software and data management to Microsoft cloud-based systems.
• Solution Architect training for Dynamics 365, SharePoint and Power Platform.
• Great project management skills, including organization, planning, time management and prioritization
• Customer service and interpersonal skills
• Experience in Information Technology, IT Management, and IT Operations
• Strong knowledge of IT Strategy, Security and Infrastructure
• Demonstrated ability to lead and manage IT teams and contractors
• Experience in implementing and maintaining IT systems
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and remotely
• Experience in the manufacturing industry is a plus
• BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
